Company History

GAMMA TWO, INC., was incorporated in Colorado on June 23, 2003 as the continuation of Gunderson and Gunderson, Inc., a business formed in 1997. The corporation was organized to provide advanced artificial intelligence software to businesses in the financial and logistics sectors. In the process there was continuing research into computational models of real world behavior, that resulted in a number of proprietary algorithms which enable computers to recognize and reason about the world in a manner based on biological principles.

Beginning in early 2006, The team at Gamma Two focused on designing, building, and testing a Cybernetic Brain for mobile robots. This work continued over the next three years, culminating in the first prototype of the Basic Service Level (BSL) robots. These are designed to work in home and office environments, where they will interact with people on a daily basis. Unlike industrial robots, which are unaware of their surroundings, the BSL series robots act in close concert with people, avoiding obstacles as they navigate autonomously around the house. They are intended to enable people to live more comfortably in their homes as they age, and to provide support for individual with disabilities.

In 2009, a special version of the BSL series robots was design to assist individual in wheelchairs. These robots have all the functionality of the BSL robots, however they are engineered to be comfortable for seated individuals. The Wheelchair Level Mobility Assistant (WLMA) series of robots are designed to improve the quality of life for the disabled.

All of this work has been completed at the GAMMA TWO, INC. facilities.
